The rapid growth of a relatively new segment to the Philippines casino industry known as remote gaming will be the subject of the final session of MGS Summit today.

IAG’s Managing Editor Ben Blaschke will be joined by Suat Sirin, President of Tecnet Asia Inc, to delve into the world of remote gaming, which refers to the license issued to Philippines casinos by regulator PAGCOR for the provision of an online facility to allow Philippine players located in the Philippines to remotely place bets using an internet-connected device.

Unofficially referred to as PIGOs, or “Philippine Inland Gaming Operators”, this Q&A style discussion will see you learn about the current and speculated future state of play for PIGO betting from the President of a company responsible for creating the PIGO architecture for a number of Manila-based IRs.

MGS Summit will kick off from 11am today with a Keynote Address to be delivered by Kevin Kelley, Chief Operating Officer – Macau at Galaxy Entertainment Group, from 11:05am.

There will also be a session presented by GLI’s Ian Hughes exploring the future use of AI in gaming, a discussion involving leading industry suppliers on market developments across Asia, a panel on “Pioneering the New Macau” featuring representatives of all six concessionaires, a presentation from Professor Wang Changbin from Macao Polytechnic University on challenges and opportunities facing concessionaires, and a discussion on remote gaming in the Philippines.

The full summit program can be found here.
