The President of the Macau Entertainment Equipment Manufacturers Association (MGEMA), Jay Chun, said Wednesday he hopes to welcome around 5,000 visitors when MGS Entertainment Show returns as a live in-person show for the first time in four years next week.

Outlining plans for the show at a press conference, Chun said there would be 35 exhibitors at this year’s show, including a number of leading industry suppliers, covering an exhibition area of 3,000 square meters. The exhibition will be complemented by MGS Summit, where Galaxy Entertainment Group’s COO – Macau, Kevin Kelley, will deliver a Keynote Address next Tuesday 14 November.

According to Chun, MGS in 2023 aims to tell the “Macau story from the perspective of leisure technology and build a solid foundation for the development of Macau after many years of accumulation.”

“We have received strong support and have confirmed the participation of several companies with the most influence and market share in the leisure technology industry in Macau, Asia-Pacific and even the world,” Chun said in reference to the company’s exhibiting.

“Macau’s leisure, entertainment and technology industry brings Macau’s first Asia-leading offline professional industry exhibition after 2020, with the aim of providing a discussion and exchange platform for local participants and global industry players to explore innovative solutions for Macau’s entertainment, technology and tourism industries. It will better support Macau’s economic recovery and enrich its connotation as a world tourism and leisure center.”

Running across two days on 14 and 15 November at Galaxy International Convention Centre, this year represents the first time MGS has operated as a live in-person show since 2019. MGS Summit ran in 2021 and 2022 as an online-only event but will also return as a full in-person gathering in 2023.
