Asia-based online casino players boast average bet size 2.5 times higher than their European counterparts and are far more likely to utilize mobile betting, according to data from the SOFTSWISS casino platform.

In a detailed comparison of regions, SOFTSWISS outlined the specific preferences of Asian players, noting that they are characterised by technological advancement and progressiveness, as evidenced by average bet size which outstrips European averages by 2.5 times and LatAm more than fourfold.

The prevalence of players who prefer mobile betting exceeds that of other regions, SOFTSWISS said, with 71.6% favoring this method versus 68.3% in Europe. However, female players are limited across Asia at just 6.2% versus 18.1% in Europe and 17.4% in LatAm.

Slot games dominate the Asian market, accounting for over 80% of all games. “Operators catering to the Asian audience should include traditional regional games in their portfolio,” said Darya Avtukhovich, Head of SOFTSWISS Casino Platform.

“This involves not only stylizing content using well-known Asian symbols, such as dragons, but also bringing familiar table games for local players online, such as Mahjong and others. Similarly, in sports betting, offering bets on traditional sports like Muay Thai and Kabaddi alongside popular international sports will significantly enhance the online casino’s offerings.”
