The President and CEO of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Atty. Agnes Devanadera, will deliver the Keynote Address to kick off Day 2 of the inaugural IAG Academy Summit today.
Atty Devanadera, who was appointed President and CEO of the CDC in September 2022 by Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr, is set to provide her insights into the growth of the Clark Freeeport Zone – home to Hann Casino Resort, Royce Hotel & Casino and D’heights among others – ahead of another full day of intriguing sessions.
Also on the agenda is a panel session on Clark featuring representatives of the CDC, Hann and D’Heights, a supplier’s panel with representatives of Aristocrat, IGT and Light & Wonder, a deep dive into Philippines junkets with the Corporate COO of Dowinn Group, Lorraine Koo, and an operator’s panel featuring representatives of PAGCOR, Newport World Resorts and Hann.
Atty Devanadera’s career spans decades in government serving various positions, including local chief executive of Sampaloc, Quezon following the EDSA (People Power) Revolution. Known as a trailblazer for women, she was the first female Mayor of Sampaloc, first female president of the Quezon Mayor’s League, the first female National President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, the first female lawyer from Quezon Province to be admitted to the New York Bar, the first female Government Corporate Council, the first female Solicitor General and the first female to be a full-pledged Secretary of Justice.
An advocate for the continuous training and development of employees, she most recently served as Chairperson and CEO of the Energy Regulatory Commission before her appointment last year as the first female President and CEO of the CDC.
