Galaxy Entertainment Group has announced 15 September as the opening date of its latest hotel Andaz Macau – part of the recently launched Galaxy International Convention Center at Galaxy Macau.
Targeting both leisure and business guests, Andaz Macau will upon opening become the world’s largest Andaz hotel with more than 700 rooms and suites. It will also become the eighth hospitality brand within Galaxy Macau, forming part of the integrated resort’s expansive Phase 3 development.
Unique features of Andaz Macau will include a dedicated check-in lounge catering to large MICE groups, a signature lounge, a bar and restaurant, a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center and a heated 19-meter indoor pool, according to details made public by GEG on Thursday.
GEG also provided first insights into the hotel’s interior design, described as representative of nearby Old Taipa but expressed in a contemporary context, featuring elements of traditional Macau and the opportunity to learn about the city’s history and culture as guests explore different spaces and encounter various art pieces throughout the hotel.

A diverse collection of artworks will feature “Juxtapose” – a series of steel sculptures by Malaysian artist Tang Mun Kian that pays tribute to the city’s historic architecture, iconic landmarks and the insights of local residents – while an array of artifacts on display will include intricately embroidered couture gowns “Golden Phoenix” and “Enchanted Mountains”. There will also be unique antique vases, glass sculptures and paintings on display.
“Macau Steps” is described as a one-of-a-kind staircase that will reveal stories of the city’s past and present through more than 100 videos that create an engaging multisensory experience.
F&B is to include all-day dining at Andaz Kitchen, comprising Chinese, Portuguese and Western cuisines in a space inspired by Macau’s iconic shophouses, while the connected Andaz Studio is designed for up to 80 guests and will offer interactive experiences such as master chef cooking classes.
Andaz Lounge will provide a relaxed space for MICE guests to unwind and network, and Andaz Bar will offer creative cocktails prepared by a mixologist and craft beer produced by a local Macau brewery.
Andaz Macau, a Hyatt brand, adds to the 28 Andaz hotels located worldwide.
