Macau’s Labor Affairs Bureau will help launch six job fairs in July – one for each concessionaire – with the goal of hiring 1,219 additional employees across the industry. Available positions are diverse and include hotel operations directors and attendants, technicians for the electrical and mechanical engineering department, chefs, bartenders and waiters, senior analyst and managers of the IT department, among others.
Wynn Macau Ltd will host its job fair on 10 July followed by SJM Resorts on 11 July, Sands China on 13 July, Galaxy Entertainment Group and Melco Resorts on 17 July and MGM China on 19 July.
The target group is solely Macau residents.
The Labor Affairs Bureau said that in response to the gradual recovery of the tourism industry, new facilities at IRs have been put into operation. These job fairs have therefore been organized to relieve pressure on each company’s manpower demands.
Supporting local employment is central tenant of the new 10-year concessions signed by Macau’s IR operators in December
