The International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA) will hold its Best Practices Institute as part of the G2E Asia conference at The Venetian Macao next month, comprising three in-depth panel sessions discussing regulatory issues impacting the industry.

Taking place on the afternoon of G2E Asia Day 2 on Wednesday 12 July, IAGA’s Best Practices Institute will kick-off from 2pm with a panel discussion titled “Operating an Integrated Resort Responsibly: Exploring Compliance and Regulatory Challenges and Best Practices for integrated resorts”. The session will address critical issues including ESG, CSR and sustainability efforts, effectively attracting guests from different parts of the region, and the benefits and challenges of creating special gaming areas for foreign visitors.

Next will be a session titled “Understanding and Addressing Integrated Resorts Financial Crime Challenges”, to be led by a group of financial crime and risk experts. This roundtable discussion will look into preventative measure trends that have emerged over the past year and how data analytics and technologies like AI can assist integrated resorts in monitoring, investigating and auditing financial crimes.

The conference will conclude with a session titled “Leveraging Technology Across Integrated Resorts to Enhance the Customer Experience”, exploring the challenges many suppliers and operators face in having cutting edge technology approved by regulators. Featuring a wide range of panelists who are involved in driving gaming’s emerging innovations and trends – or are responsible for regulating and licensing them – the panel will discuss the current state of technology in the industry and suggest ways that the industry can work together to enhance innovation within current regulatory confines to maintain the required level of supervision and control while at the same time staying up to date and not stifling progress and innovation.

Preceding the IAGA Best Practices Institute will be a special Cocktail Reception on the evening of Tuesday 11 July at Wynn Macao’s Ristorante il Teatro, sponsored by Wynn Macau and MdME Lawyers. Overlooking the resort’s fountains on the performance lake, the elegant setting will provide attendees with a perfect backdrop to catch up with fellow IAGA members and regional colleagues.

Founded in 1980, IAGA aims to provide a relevant, collaborative forum for discussing key issues that affect global gaming today. Supported by a membership that includes the industry’s leading attorneys, senior executives, financial advisors, regulators, consultants and academics, it connects expert advisors through shared experiences and education to influence the advancement of global gaming.

IAGA hosts numerous conferences and special events each year where attendees participate in rich discussion about industry topics and trends, benefit from valuable networking opportunities and gain vital education.
