Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa has announced the resignation of its Deputy CEO, Lam Yi Young, after less than six months in the job.
The company didn’t offer any insights into the reasons behind Lam’s departure, stating only via a filing that Lam would relinquish his role on 30 June 2023 “as mutually agreed by the Board of Directors of RWS”.
The company added, “RWS remains committed to the momentum to strengthen its core leadership team, advance on its long-term growth strategies and build strong sustainable recovery.”

Lam, who was previously CEO of the Singapore Business Federation, only stepped into the Deputy CEO role in January with RWS stating at the time that he was there to assist CEO Tan Hee Teck in the “execution of the strategies, management and development of RWS’s business, and ensure effective day-to-day operational performance and organisational excellence.”
He had been seen as one of two key appointments to the RWS leadership team alongside former Marina Bay Sands executive Andrew MacDonald, who was named Chief Casino Officer for RWS late last year.
