The Macau government has announced that, as of Tuesday, people who have entered Macau from Hong Kong are no longer required to show proof of a negative nuclear acid test to cross into mainland China.
However, those who have traveled to Taiwan or foreign countries within the previous seven days are still required to present a negative test obtained 48 hours of entering the mainland.
This latest relaxation of border rules comes after the Macau SAR government dropped most immigration measures on 8 January, allowing arrivals from Hong Kong, Taiwan and foreign countries to enter without undergoing quarantine measures.
Arrivals from Hong Kong and Taiwan are no longer required to show proof of a negative NAT test, although those arriving from foreign countries must still present a test obtained within the previous 48 hours.
