Wynn Macau Ltd has announced Wynn Resorts Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Ellen F. Whittemore as a new non-executive director following the departure of former company CEO Matt Maddox.
Maddox, who had agreed to remain on the Wynn Macau board until the end of 2022 after announcing in November 2021 he was stepping down as CEO of both Wynn Resorts and Wynn Macau, officially ended his tenure as a director on 31 December 2022.
Sixty-six-year-old Whittemore has been EVP, General Counsel and Secretary of Wynn Resorts since July 2018, having previously been a shareholder of US lobbying and law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP from November 2016 to July 2018.
She also served as the sole manager of the Whittemore Gaming Group, LLC From February 2014 to November 2016 and as Of Counsel in the Las Vegas office of the law firm Lionel Sawyer & Collin from October 2002 to February 2014, Wynn Macau said.
Her appointment came into effect on 1 January – the same day that Wynn Macau’s new 10-year gaming concession began.
