Inside Asian Gaming (IAG) has announced that the 13th instalment of networking social event Macau After Dark, MAD 13, will be held on Tuesday 18 October 2022 at the iconic landmark, Macau Tower.

The new October date comes after the previous MAD at Macau Tower, which had been planned for June, was postponed due to Macau’s COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent restrictions imposed on such gatherings at the time.

Situated alongside Sai Van Lake, Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Center, standing at a height of 338 meters, is a major tourist attraction in Macau. Owned by Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau (STDM) and operated by Shun Tak Holdings Limited, Macau Tower is a venue that embodies MICE, entertainment, banquet and adventurous memories.

Since its opening in December 2001, Macau Tower has received various country leaders such as Chinese President Xi Jinping, the former President of Portugal Jorge Sampaio and Prince Edward from the United Kingdom.

Apart from the Theatre and its array of restaurants serving a wide selection of international cuisine as well as attractive retail shops at the Atrium, it is also one of the most well-known Bungy sites worldwide, created by Skypark Macau Tower by AJ Hackett, with both its Bungy Jump and SkyJump listed in the Guinness World Records as the world’s highest adventure facilities of their kinds.

“As Macau Tower is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, we are delighted to support and partner with IAG for Macau After Dark 13, one of the most reputable social networking events in Macau,” said Victoria Fuh – General Manager, Commercial of Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment CentreInside Asian Gaming Announces Macau Tower as Venue for 13th Edition of Macau After Dark on 18 October 2022

“Our partnership once again showcases Macau Tower’s leading position as a must-be-at venue for social and corporate events over the past two decades. We are ready to welcome MAD 13 to the Macau Tower – where memories are made!”

IAG Vice Chairman and CEO Andrew W Scott said, “MAD started as just a casual idea and a great acronym, and it’s amazing to realize we’re up to number 13 already! That number might be unlucky for some, but we’re sure it will be lucky for everyone who enjoys our next instalment of MAD, at a very picturesque location at Macau Tower, one of Macau’s most iconic locations.

“We look forward to meeting all our industry friends, this time at Macau Tower, for one of Macau’s greatest informal get togethers – Macau After Dark!”

From 2022, MAD has added a charity component to the event, and plans to select a different Macau charity to support each calendar year. During all MAD events in 2022, IAG will be collecting donations for Cradle of Hope Association, a non-profit organization which provides a loving and secure home for children who have been the victim of poverty, abandonment, rejection, neglect or violence.

Inside Asian Gaming thanks our wonderful sponsors for again supporting MAD, including Platinum Sponsor Light & Wonder and Gold Sponsor IGT.

MAD is a regular series of industry networking social events held in Asia’s gaming hub of Macau. Each MAD brings together key industry decision-makers with the people they want to meet in a relaxed and friendly environment. A new venue is chosen for each event.

Note that, due its enormous popularity, MAD has for some time been a strictly-by-invitation-only event. Invited guests must RSVP and be confirmed by having an official event entry ticket on their phones. All guests must supply their business cards upon arrival. There is also a select VIP list for each event.
