Hann Philippines Inc, operator of Hann Casino Resort in Clark, Philippines, has signed a multi-agreement deal with Accor Group to open a Sofitel Clark and an Emblems Clark hotel as part its next integrated development, Hann Lux.

The agreement will bring the total number of Accor hotels operating in Clark under the Hann partnership to six, having previously inked deals for Banyan Tree Clark, Angsana Clark and Mercure Clark in New Clark City and the recently launched Swissôtel Clark at Hann Casino Resort.

Hann Lux, currently under development on 450 hectares in New Clark City just a short drive from Hann Casino Resort, will feature three 18-hole championship golf courses alongside multiple hotels, outdoor recreation facilities, premium villas and residences, a mixed-use commercial center and a 10-hectare public park.

When complete, Sofitel Clark will comprise 300 guest rooms centered around elegant experiences which embrace local culture, the best of gastronomy and wellbeing, Hann said, while Emblems Clark with its 200 guest rooms aims to bring a sense of exclusive luxury.

Both hotels will feature all-day dining and specialty restaurants, swimming pools, spas, fitness centers, meetings and conference spaces, and executive lounges.

“We are excited to expand our partnership further with Accor, a global leader in the hospitality industry,” said Daesik Han, Chairman and CEO of Hann Philippines Inc. “We are pleased to offer our guests the best of French and Korean lifestyles.

“Having Sofitel Clark and Emblems Clark in Hann Lux will surely make it a celebrated destination, attracting tourists not only from all over the Philippines but also from around the world.”

Garth Simmons, CEO of Accor, Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, added, “We are proud to expand our strategic relationship with Hann in this landmark multi-agreement signing. This reaffirms the trust and confidence owners place in Accor, our relationship driven-approach towards partners, and the popularity of our brands powered by strong distribution and lifestyle loyalty platforms.

“We are also thrilled and extremely proud to introduce two very special properties to vibrant Clark. Sofitel Clark and Emblems Clark will both bring an iconic sense of luxury to Hann Lux, and we are delighted to be working with our valued partners, Hann Philippines, to bring their unique vision to life.”

The new agreement between Accor and Hann was signed at Sofitel Singapore City Centre this week and forms part of Hann’s promised additional US$2 billion investment into Clark.

Mr Han is also in Singapore for G2E Asia, where he will appear on a panel on Wednesday afternoon discussing the future of IR expansion and development in Asia.
