South Korea’s leading foreigner-only casino operator, Paradise Co, saw casino revenue hold steady month-on-month at KRW17.09 billion (US$13.6 million) in May.
The May figure was just 0.8% lower than in April, although 25.8% higher than May 2021, with table revenue reaching KRW14.93 billion (US$11.9 million) and machine revenue KRW2.16 billion (US$1.7 million) according to figures released by Paradise on Tuesday.
Table drop of KRW121.40 billion (US$96.7 million) was 1.4% lower than in April and 10.5% lower than in May 2021.
For the first five months of 2022 combined, Paradise Co’s casino revenue is down 8.9% year-on-year to KRW88.08 billion (US$70.1 million), albeit gaining momentum, while table drop is down 11.0% to KRW604.57 billion (US$481.3 million).
Paradise Co operates Paradise Walkerhill in Seoul, Jeju Grand, Busan Casino Paradise and Paradise City in Incheon.
