Caesars Entertainment has released the full schedule for this year’s World Series of Poker, which will return to its traditional mid-year time slot for the first time in three years but at a brand-new Las Vegas Strip venue.
The 2022 WSOP will run from Tuesday 31 May until Wednesday 20 July at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas, having farewelled its long-time home at the Rio in November. A total of 88 bracelet events are on offer with buy-ins ranging from US$400 to US$250,000.
“This year is particularly historic for the WSOP with its move to the heart of the Las Vegas Strip and debut in the best facilities we’ve ever had,” said WSOP Executive Director, Ty Stewart.
“We’re ready to welcome players from all over the world to our housewarming party at Bally’s, soon-to-be Horseshoe, and Paris. The schedule is jam-packed with first-class events and we expect this to be the biggest and most anticipated WSOP yet.”
The Main Event, which attracted an impressive field of 6,650 entrants last year despite being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, will begin on Sunday 3 July 2022 and conclude with a final table running over two days on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 July.
The opening weekend of the series will also feature a US$500 buy-in event with a US$5 million guarantee.
The WSOP said its new Las Vegas Strip home has space for 600 poker tables, while the 2022 series will also see Caesars scrap the vaccine mandate that was in place in 2021.
