Australian law firm Senet has announced three new speakers for “Regulating the Game 2022” – a 5-day gambling regulatory education program to be held in Sydney, Australia from 7 to 11 March.
Co-developed by leading specialist gambling law, regulatory and compliance advisory Senet and the International Centre for Gaming Regulation (ICGR), “Regulating the Game” is designed to offer a carefully curated immersive program designed to build regulatory and compliance capability, cultivate curiosity and critical thinking, and stoke an appetite for continuous improvement.
It had originally been planned to run concurrently with the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) at Sydney’s International Convention Centre (ICC) in August but was postponed due to COVID-19.
The new speakers, all ICGR Core Program Faculty, include Becky Harris – a recognised expert on gaming policy and regulation, legislative affairs and workplace sexual harassment prevention. Harris, a former Chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and a Distinguished Fellow in Gaming & Leadership with the International Gaming Institute at UNLV, is often called upon nationally to discuss policy and regulatory issues relating to legal sports wagering. She is also sought after as a speaker worldwide on issues related to gaming policy, regulation and leadership.
Victor Newsom, SVP Product Management, Payments Solutions for Everi, is a FinTech and Gaming veteran who has held leadership positions for a wide range of companies engaged in acquiring and issuing processing, US and International operations, and card based, virtual and mobile payments. He has consulted with US law enforcement, worked on payments legislation, advised on central bank policy in emerging markets and FinTech related intellectual property.
Alan Feldman is one of the world’s leading experts on responsible gaming. As Distinguished Fellow in Responsible Gaming for UNLV’s International Gaming Institute, Feldman develops programs and policies to advance related knowledge and capabilities within the industry and regulatory community. He spent nearly 30 years in the gaming industry with MGM Resorts, where he recently spearheaded the launch of GameSense, an innovative, player-focused responsible gambling program that encourages players to adopt behaviors and attitudes that can reduce the risk of developing gambling disorders. This landmark program is now available at all of MGM’s US properties.
