Macau’s gaming operators generated gross gaming revenue of MOP$6.75 billion (US$839.8 million) in November, representing a 54.6% improvement over October according to information from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).

The November GGR figure was also slightly higher than the same month in 2020 and the highest monthly result since July, highlighting the latest rebound in visitation to the SAR since border restrictions between Macau and Zhuhai were eased on 19 October.

Those restrictions, comprising a mandatory 14 days of quarantine for all arrivals into Zhuhai from Macau, were first implemented on 26 September following a small outbreak of COVID-19, but there have been no new cases in Macau since authorities completed a third and final round of mass testing for all residents in October.

For the first 11 months of 2021 combined, Macau’s GGR has reached MOP$78.90 billion (US$9.82 billion), up 49.9% year-on-year.
