The Star Gold Coast has unveiled and begun taking bookings for 422 apartments located in the upper levels of its newly completed AU$400 million (US$286 million) tower.
Launching just ahead of the long-awaited reopening of Queensland’s borders to all other Australian states in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Star Residences offer one- and two-bedroom apartments for both short and long stays and significantly expands the property’s room inventory alongside The Star Grand’s 594 hotel rooms and The Darling’s 56 suites.
Another hotel and apartment tower currently under construction will add another 457 one, two- and three-bedroom apartments when it opens in 2024, part of Star Entertainment Group’s Gold Coast Masterplan.
“This is an exciting time and a first for The Star, with another phase of our AU$2 billion (US$1.43 billion) extended masterplan about to come to life,” said The Star Gold Coast’s Chief Operating Officer, Jessica Mellor.
“It’s the biggest expansion of our iconic Gold Coast resort since The Darling opened in 2018.
“We want to ensure the Gold Coast remains Australia’s leading tourism and entertainment destination, and a significant driver of jobs and other economic benefits for Queensland.”
Also launching this week in the same tower is a luxurious pool club, Isoletto, offering sweeping views of the Gold Coast skyline, and a connected events space, Isoletto Privé.
The Star Gold Coast’s hotel and residential towers are being developed by Star Entertainment Group alongside consortium partners Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium – the same trio developing the AU$3.6 billion (AU$2.58 billion) Queen’s Wharf precinct in Brisbane.
