The countdown is now well and truly on with just 100 days to go until the start of “Regulating the Game”, a 5-day gambling regulatory education program to be held in Sydney, Australia from 7 to 11 March 2022.
Co-developed by leading specialist gambling law, regulatory and compliance advisory Senet and the International Centre for Gaming Regulation (ICGR), “Regulating the Game” offers a carefully curated immersive program designed to build regulatory and compliance capability, cultivate curiosity and critical thinking, and stoke an appetite for continuous improvement.
It had originally been planned to run concurrently with the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) at Sydney’s International Convention Centre (ICC) in August but was postponed due to COVID-19.
Now, with Australia’s international borders opening again, “Regulating the Game” has the opportunity to welcome back international guests to the conference in 2022 with Senet noting this “will add additional span and depth to the public policy and regulatory practice discussions.” Among the regional countries and jurisdictions already included in Australia’s travel bubble scheme are Singapore, Japan and South Korea.
“The buzz has definitely returned to Sydney cafes, pubs and restaurants, and we believe there is Zoom saturation and considerable pent-up demand for in-person events to access leading content, re-connect and socialise with friends and colleagues, and celebrate the promise of a better 2022,” Senet said.
“We are committed to building Regulating the Game into an unrivalled annual event, and while the focus is on building regulatory and compliance capability, the program is also designed to grapple with public policy challenges, cultivate curiosity and critical thinking, contest ideas, share insights and motivate an appetite for continuous improvement and sector leadership.”
