Julian Cook to replace Rob Campbell as SkyCity chair in 2022

New Zealand’s SkyCity Entertainment Group has named current director Julian Cook as its chair-elect ahead of the impending retirement of current chairman Rob CampbellJulian Cook to replace Rob Campbell as SkyCity chair in 2022.

Cook, who joined the SkyCity board in June, will take over as group Chairman from 1 January 2022 with the coming weeks designated to ensure an “orderly transition and handover period.”

Campbell announced in October that he would stand down at the end of the year to focus on other work commitments.

“We have made significant progress over the past year to refresh the SkyCity board and I am delighted that Julian has been selected by the SkyCity board to lead SkyCity ad the new Chair from 1 January 2022,” Campbell said.

Cook was previously CEO of retirement village operator Summerset Group Holdings from 2014 to 2021 and until 2010 was a director at Macquarie Group. He is currently a director at electricity distribution company WEL Networks Ltd and at Winton Property Ltd.
