The 14th Asian Gaming Power 50 Black Tie Gala Dinner, to be held at Macau’s Wynn Palace, will be themed “We Emerge Stronger” in 2021.
Inside Asian Gaming will host the 14th Asian Gaming Power 50 Black Tie Gala Dinner at Macau’s Wynn Palace on Friday 5 November 2021, with the theme for this year’s event to be “We Emerge Stronger”.
Coming almost two years since the COVID-19 pandemic first made its presence felt across Asia, the theme serves as both recognition of the unprecedented challenges the Asian gaming and hospitality industry faced and positive reinforcement that the industry will be back as strong as ever.
Positive signs in Macau include the lifting of the “immediate prevention” health status on 10 August, the recent city-wide NAT testing drive returning a 100% clean bill of health, no infections during the “immediate prevention” period, the lifting of restrictions on the city’s entertainment venues and most recently the extension of the valid period of COVID-19 tests for arrivals from mainland China from 48 hours to seven days.
“We Emerge Stronger” also highlights just how far we have come since last year’s Asian Gaming Power 50 Black Tie Gala Dinner, whose theme of “Standing Together in 2020” was a call to solidarity.
This year’s event will see capacity increased significantly to 340 guests, still in line with Macau health guidelines, after being limited to 240 seats in 2020 due to social distancing and other requirements.
With preparations for the 2021 Asian Gaming Power 50 Black Tie Gala Dinner now well underway, IAG has also confirmed key sponsors for the event.
They include Suncity Group as Diamond Sponsor and the Philippines’ Bloomberry Resorts Corp and Solaire Resort & Casino as Red Carpet Welcome Cocktails Sponsors.
Exclusive to Suncity, Diamond Sponsorship is the highest level of sponsorship available after Venue Sponsor.
Suncity Group comprises a number of entities including Sun Entertainment Culture, Sun Food and Beverage, Sun Travel and Hong Kong-listed Suncity Group Holdings (1383).
Suncity Group Holdings is an integrated resort developer and operator whose projects include Hoiana in Vietnam, Tigre de Cristal in Russia and Westside City in the Philippines.
As Welcome Cocktails Sponsors, Bloomberry Resorts Corp and Solaire Resort & Casino will officially host the Power 50 Welcome Cocktails, greeting guests to the Asian Gaming Power 50 Gala Dinner in a special event space featuring highly visible Bloomberry and Solaire branding.
The all-important Welcome Cocktails is a time guests walk the red carpet, participate in official event photography at the enormous 8.5 meter-wide main sign-in backdrop, and mingle with their fellow guests. Following the highly successful live streaming of the Welcome Cocktails in 2020, once again the Welcome Cocktails will be live-streamed for the benefit of those unable to make it to the Wynn Palace Ballroom on the night.
Commenting on the sponsorship and the “We Emerge Stronger” theme of the 2021 Asian Gaming Power 50, a Bloomberry Resorts spokesman said, “We are grateful to be part of bringing the industry together to share their experiences during these unusual pandemic times, and we look forward to everyone emerging as a more resourceful, resilient and successful industry than ever before.”
Celebrating its 14th anniversary this year, the Asian Gaming Power 50 has established a reputation not only as the definitive guide to the most influential people in Asian gaming but a lasting record of achievement.
Likewise, the annual Asian Gaming Power 50 Black Tie Gala Dinner is renowned as one of the most prestigious events of the year, bringing together those at the pinnacle of the industry to celebrate the significant role Asia’s integrated resorts and gaming leaders have played over the preceding 12 months.
The Asian Gaming Power 50 Black Tie Gala Dinner will see IAG count down this year’s “Big 50” while guests enjoy a fine dining meal, lively entertainment and the company of many industry peers and influencers. The list will be announced in a variety of interesting ways by renowned VIPs and government officials.
