Melco Resorts & Entertainment has held its first HK$3 million (US$375,000) lucky draw to celebrate the milestone of reaching a vaccination rate of 70% among all staff, with three team members awarded a HK$1 million (US$125,000) prize each.
The draw, which formed part of the company’s Get the Jab vaccination incentive program, was held this week with a second $3 million prize draw scheduled for when Melco hits 75% vaccination.
Melco Chairman & CEO Mr. Lawrence Ho was livestreamed to staff in all Macau and Hong Kong properties and offices while Dr Liang Sung Wen, Coordinator of the COVID-19 Outreach Vaccination Working Group at the Macao Health Bureau also joined the viewing for staff at City of Dreams.
All fully vaccinated Melco staff were eligible for a prize.
“We are glad to see a sustained warm response to the Get the Jab incentive program from colleagues, friends and families,” Ho said.
“We remain strongly committed to supporting the governments in their aim to attain community-wide protection through education and vaccination and will continue to dedicate substantial resources to create a safer environment for the community, our customers and our colleagues.”
Aside from the HK$3 million prize draw, Melco’s Get the Jab vaccination incentive program has seen it run two onsite outreach vaccination sessions with all vaccinated staff receiving MOP$1,000.
