Global gaming giant Scientific Games Corp has created a new iGaming version of its hugely successful slot brand Jin Ji Bao Xi, incorporating for the first time the Megaways mechanic.

The new version of Jin Ji Bao Xi not only offers online players the full Megaways experience but also the opportunity to win one of the game’s four fixed jackpot prizes.

Just like the land-based version, coins are added to the pot that sits above the reels when Wilds land in view during base gameplay. When the pot’s lid closes, players are presented with 12 coins and keep picking coins until three symbols are matched to award the corresponding jackpot prize.

Jin Ji Bao Xi is a hugely popular brand in the land-based casino sector, with more than 3,000 cabinets rolled out in Asia alone. It now becomes the latest Asian-themed title developed by the company and taken up by SG Digital to implement Megaways, following in the footsteps of “88 Fortunes”.

“This year has seen us produce a wide range of Megaways games that have proven to be a hit with players, demonstrating that we are capable of bringing new twists to a genre of slots that shows no signs of slowing down,” said Rob Procter, Content Specialist Director, Digital at Scientific Games.

“Bringing the Jin Ji Bao Xi brand into our Megaways family made perfect sense given its global fan base. It’s a strong title packed with features that we’re sure will resonate with a wide audience.”
