MGM China says it has now vaccinated more than half of its employees following the company’s most recent vaccination drive.

Having previously hosted the first “Outreach Vaccination Program – MGM” in May, MGM organized a second program from 28 June to 2 July alongside Macau’s Health Bureau at which it encouraged staff to receive their shots in a comfortable and convenient environment.

As a result, the company said it has now vaccinated 56% of all MGM China employees following a recent push by the government to boost local vaccination rates.

“Vaccination is the key to combat COVID-19 pandemic,” said MGM China’s Co-chairperson & Executive Director, Pansy Ho.

“Macau’s economy may get back on track only if we could boost up the vaccination rate to build a solid barrier against the virus. We hereby would like to express our sincere appreciation to the medical staff from the Health Bureau for hosting another outreach program for our team members and families.

“We also thank every team member who has been vaccinated, as this is an act of protection for themselves and their loved ones, while also fulfilling their civil responsibility to safeguard everyone in the city.”

SJM Holdings recently said it had vaccinated 3,600 staff and their family members during its own vaccination drive, while Melco Resorts & Entertainment vaccinated 2,600 staff during its “Get the Jab” campaign.
