Lisboeta Macau, a non-gaming development owned by Angela Leong and built alongside SJM’s Grand Lisboa Palace, will open some attractions on 17 July 2021, the company revealed this week.
According to comments made by Connie Kong, a director of Lisboeta’s operator Macau Theme Park And Resort (MTPR), the property will open “some shopping and attraction facilities” next month, including an indoor skydiving experience, a zip line and a night market.
GoAirborne Indoor SkyDiving is described as the first indoor skydiving experience in Macau, reaching a maximum airspeed of 270 kilometres per hour, while ZIPCITY is a zip line running for 388-meters.
Lisboeta Macau continues to be used as a quarantine hotel for returning travelers, however in a press release promoting a local SME business matching session organized by MTPR, Kong said the hotel and attractions were separated from one another.
“We will still be supporting the Government to operate the Optional Medical Observation Hotel, while the attraction facilities are independent from the hotel tower which allow visitors to enjoy the facilities,” she said.
Largely overseen by Arnaldo Ho, the youngest son of Angela Leong and Dr Stanley Ho, Lisboeta covers 141,000 square meters with architecture inspired by local landmarks such as Macau’s first casino, Hotel Estoril, the floating casino Macau Palace and the city’s streets as they were last century.
Once fully operational it will include three hotels, totalling 820 rooms, with 574 rooms at Lisboeta Hotel, 164 at Maison L’Occitane and 82 at Casa de Amigo.
