Austrian gaming giant Novomatic has announced the formation of a new Global Operations business segment that will oversee the company’s international subsidiaries.
The Global Operations segment will be overseen by Thomas Komnacky, himself taking on the newly created role of VP Global Operations and reporting directly to Executive Board Member Ryszard Presch.
According to Novomatic, Komnacky and his Global Operations segment will be responsible for all 1,900 gaming facilities worldwide in which the company has a presence, as well as for the renting of all gaming equipment,” said Presch.
“Thomas Komnacky is an experienced Novomatic manager who has been tasked with leading this central division not only because he is very familiar with the Group, but because he already worked closely with the country organizations in the past.”
Komnacky, a former investment bank before joining Novomatic in 2014, was previously responsible for market analysis, strategy development and business development. He also serves as Managing Director of two subsidiaries and has played a key role in numerous market entries, company acquisitions and international concession projects, the company said.
“My goal is to make a significant contribution to improving the company’s overall performance by creating even stronger networks between the subsidiaries as well as by providing targeted guidance and support from the headquarters,” Komnacky said.
