Scientific Games will launch its new Kascada vertical gaming cabinet, featuring a 43” vertical screen, into Asia in Q4 of this year.
Further details of Kascada, which was first unveiled in October 2020, were revealed during an online panel on game design on Tuesday, part of SG Gaming’s Virtual Summit.
The highly-anticipated Q4 release will include a jackpot game with an additional fifth jackpot level added specifically for the Asian market. The new Fortune Level jackpot will sit above the traditional Grand, Major, Minor and Mini jackpots.
It will also feature SG’s newest game series, Coin Combo, described as the next chapter in the company’s hugely successful Duō Fú Duō Cái series.
“What this cabinet gives us the ability to do is expand the horizon of a brand, so if you look at Coin Combo, that’s an evolution of DFDC into a new cabinet with growing reels and three pots,” explained Scientific Games Vice President Global Sale Games, Nathan Drane.
“For operators that provides differentiation – it will look different and present different across the casino floor.”
Kascada was launched into the US market earlier this year with Scientific Games describing its performance so far as extremely impressive.
The cabinet offers an ultra-high-definition 4K graphics display on a 43-inch, innovative double curved monitor and new lighting package.
“It is coming in Q4 of this year, we’re fully pregnant on that,” said Drane. “Along with Coin Combo, it’s a very exciting product to launch across Asia.
“That doesn’t mean we won’t continue to support Dualos X and the dual screen game footprint because we know how important that is for the VIP market and premium mass market, but this does provide diversity.”
