The IR Gaming Institute, an organization which trains casino dealers, held an event in Shin-Imamiya, Osaka on Saturday, with more than 100 people – including IAG Japan – in attendance.
Yolobase, the hotel at which the event was held, is one of the hottest new spots in Osaka, boasting a restaurant and bar where attendees were able to enjoy free-to-play casino games with food and drink.
The event featured roulette, baccarat, blackjack and poker tables and instructors from the IR Gaming Institute served as dealers. A tournament was also held with a grand prize that included vouchers for Las Vegas hotels.
Most of the attendees were from Kansai, including Osaka, but a few traveled from Tokyo and Nagoya. One of those attendees, Bahar Ishanaz, told IAG Japan that he was keen to see Japan open is first casinos sooner rather than later.
“The end of the decade will be too late,” he said.
Hiroshi Katagiri, a representative of the IR Gaming Institute, said he was pleased with Saturday’s turnout.
“It was more people than we expected and we hope everyone will look forward to the next event,” he said.
