Macau Wine & Dine is returning in 2021 with a unique “New World Wine & Dine” pairing experience to be held this Saturday 27 February at Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau.

The long-awaited event will celebrate 18 different wines from the so-called “new-world” wine producing countries – Argentina, Australia, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States – with complementing food specially prepared by the hotel’s culinary team.

Guests are free to choose from a wide range of food and wine items while being guided through the pairings by sommeliers, chefs and wine experts from the Wine Society of Macau and Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau.

Newcomers are welcome to start their day with an introductory wine tasting class, hosted in Cantonese by local wine educator Elly Tang, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm for MOP$150.

The main event then kicks off from 6pm utilizing a “walk-around and taste” concept on the 2nd floor atrium of the hotel, and hosted by Pedro do Carmo – Head Chef of Café Bela Vista. Food options will include Ceviche from Chile, beef from Argentina and Frikkadel from South Africa among others.

There will also be an after party with music from the 1980s and 1990s running from 10pm until 2am for those keen to dance the night away.

“Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau embodies the values of Art, Culture and Heritage, which all link directly to the hotel’s leading program ‘Boa Vida’ – translated as ‘enjoying in the good life’,” said Rutger Verschuren, Area Vice President, Macau Operations of Artyzen Hospitality Group and General Manager at Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau.

“We encourage people to let life smile at you with good things such as, in this case, great food, fine wines, friendship and music! We are thrilled to present the Wine & Dine Event with our partners to bring the good life to Macau, offering a unique culinary experience and lifestyle for all gourmet lovers.”

President of the Wine Society of Macau, Filipe Cunha Santos, said, “With this series of Wine and Dine events, the Wine Society is fulfilling its mission to promote wine culture and wine education in Macau. We are happy with the concept that was developed so far. It’s easy to understand, open to everyone and flexible.”
