Melco Resorts & Entertainment Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho has been voted the industry identity that members of Inside Asian Gaming’s GAME community want to hear from most at upcoming GAME events.

Ho attracted 61 of 288 votes cast as part of the community-based speaker selection process announced by IAG last week, just ahead of his sister and SJM Holdings Chairman Daisy Ho with 53 votes and Las Vegas Sands SVP and Chief Casino Officer Andrew MacDonald with 50 votes.

GAME’s community-based speaker selection process is designed to allow the platform’s 435 members to nominate who they would like to see speak at upcoming GAME events.

GAME, short for Gaming Asia Mega Experience, is IAG’s online interactive business insights platform for the Asian gaming industry, launched in late March as a response to industry challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of IAG’s follow-up process after each GAME event, 41 candidate speakers had been nominated by GAME members who were last week asked to select their first, second and third speaker preferences.

The 10 most popular speaker options largely comprised of senior IR executives. There were also two women – Daisy Ho and Wynn Macau COO Linda Chen – among the notable selections, as well as recently appointed DICJ boss Adriano Ho.

The 10 speakers in most demand are as follows:

Inside Asian Gaming will now approach the speakers with the most votes and invite them to speak at an upcoming GAME event, with details to be announced shortly.
