Singapore integrated resorts Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa have reopened some of their non-gaming amenities, including hotels, following the successful relaunch of casino and retail space in recent weeks.
In an update on its website, Marina Bay Sands revealed it began reopening its hotel as of last Friday 17 July, with rooms to be brought back online in stages. Also open again are the property’s iconic rooftop Infinity Pool, Banyan Tree Spa and Fitness Club, RISE, Renku Bar & Lounge, SPAGO by Wolfgang Puck and Sampan Rides.
However, Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marquee and Sands Theatre remain closed.
MBS had previously reopened some retail space on 19 June, casino operations to Sands Rewards Club members on 1 July and other non-gaming attractions such as ArtScience Museum, The Shoppes, restaurants and Sands SkyPark Observation Deck on 6 July.
Resorts World Sentosa similarly revealed on Monday that it was reopening its hotels this week, specifically Crockfords Tower, Equarius Hotel, Hotel Michael, Beach Villas, Ocean Suites and TreeTop Lofts.
Restaurants will also accept dine-in guests for the first time since RWS closed it doors in early April.
The reopening of hotels and restaurants comes just days after it was revealed that RWS was preparing for “significant” staff cuts to combat the financial impact of COVID-19.
