Melco Resorts & Entertainment has named Grant Johnson as Senior Vice President, Property General Manager of its Cyprus operations – City of Dreams Mediterranean and Cyprus Casinos “C2” – following the retirement of Craig Ballantyne.

Ballantyne stepped down as Property President on 1 April 2020, with Johnson now responsible for the continued development of the €550 million City of Dreams Mediterranean, due for completion in late 2021, and the management and operations of Cyprus Casinos.

“Congratulations to Grant Johnson on his new appointment,” said Melco Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho.

“With his proven track record of delivering growth for the company I am confident that we can continue pushing boundaries as a global leader in innovative luxury entertainment offerings. This promotion represents Melco’s commitment to internal career opportunities.”

Johnson is a former Director of Marketing, Asia for the National Basketball Association (NBA), Executive Director of Destination Marketing for Sands China and was previously SVP, Casino Sales, Marketing and Operations at Macau’s Studio City in Macau. He joined Melco in 2011.
