A memorial area for the public to pay their respects to Dr Stanley Ho has opened to the public from 2 June onwards, located in the east wing main lobby of Hotel Lisboa. Dr Ho passed away last week at the age of 98.
The memorial area has been jointly set up by STDM, Shun Tak Holdings Ltd, Sociedade de Jogos de Macau S.A. (SJM) and SJM Holdings Ltd, with a portrait of Dr Ho overlooking condolence books and flowers. The area is open from 9am to 8pm every day until further notice, with employees of the companies he established along with Macau citizens lining up on Tuesday to pay their respects.
Hotel Lisboa, Grand Lisboa and other properties have all been displaying images of Dr Ho in recent days to express their condolences.
Hong Kong media has reported that the funeral of Dr Ho will not be held until July, however his daughter, Pansy Ho, insists the date of the funeral has not yet been confirmed with details to be announced soon.
