Japanese gaming machine developer Sega Sammy Creation has named the Chairman and CEO of its United States subsidiary, Scott Winzeler, as the company’s new President and CEO, effective from 1 April 2020.
Winzeler, who joined Sega Sammy Creation USA Inc in April 2019, will now turn his focus to global operations.
“Scott’s experience in the gaming industry and Japanese business will be a major asset as we move forward in expanding our global market,” the company said. “We are very pleased to have him onboard and look forward to the direction of the company under his leadership.”
Winzeler brings more than 25 years of experience in the gaming industry to the role including stints in executive positions with IGT Asia and IGT Japan.
“The change in organizational structure will allow us to more efficiently communicate the needs of our casino operator customers with the development team and accelerate our product development efforts.”
