Macau gaming concessionaire Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (SJM) has announced a donation of MOP$20 million to aid Coronavirus control and relief efforts in Hubei province, including purchasing much-needed medical supplies and protective equipment.
The donation was made under coordination of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR.
Ms Daisy Ho, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SJM, said, “The donation carries with it our sincerest wishes for the Hubei people and for our Motherland. SJM stands firmly with the Macau SAR government and all Macau people in efforts to contain the spread of the Coronavirus. We wish a speedy recovery to all people and all economies that are affected by the virus.”
SJM has been maintaining close communication with the relevant government departments and rolling out preventive measures in strict adherence to government guidelines, the company said.
