Japan’s integrated resort industry appears to be attracting plenty of attention with last week’s IR Gaming Expo 2019 (IRGE), held at Intex Osaka over four days, attracting a total of 40,540 visitors, organizers said.
IRGE featured exhibits by six major international IR operators – Galaxy Entertainment Group, MGM Resorts with Orix, Las Vegas Sands, Suncity Group, Melco Resorts & Entertainment and Genting Singapore – along with regional municipality governments.

Attendance comprised of 17,634 for the first two days – 8,823 on Thursday and 8,811 on Friday – with another 22,906 attendees on the weekend, 10,287 on Saturday and 12,287 on Sunday.
The first two days were reserved for media and B2B visitors, while the public could attend over the weekend upon payment of a JPY 1,000 entrance fee.
The IR Gaming Expo 2019 was held jointly with Tourism Expo Japan, whose exhibitors included Korean IRs Paradise City and Seven Luck.
