Australia’s Paul Newson appointed new President of International Association of Gaming Regulators

The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) has announced the appointment of Paul Newson as President during its recent 2019 annual conference, held in Jamaica.

Newson, Trustee of the NSW Responsible Gambling Fund, replaces Trude Felde, Senior Advisor at the Norwegian Gaming Authority, in the role.

“It’s an honor to be appointed President of the International Association of Gaming Regulators following what’s been a watershed year for the organization,” he said.

“I’m really looking forward to working with our Board of Trustees, members and industry stakeholders to best position IAGR to advance better regulation globally.”

IAGR2020 will be held late next year and hosted by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
