Genting Group’s US$4 billion integrated resort, Resorts World Las Vegas (RWLV), has announced five new additions to its executive leadership team ahead of the property’s planned December 2020 launch.
The new hires bring more than 80 years of combined experience working at numerous large Las Vegas resorts, with RWLV President Scott Sibella stating, “Every executive was hand-selected for their extensive leadership experience in the hospitality and gaming industry.
“Each has many years of demonstrated proficiency and excellence in their respective disciplines to ensure the successful completion of our highly-anticipated resort.”
RWLV’s new additions include Chief Financial Officer Chris Nordling, a former Mirage and Bellagio CFO with more than 20 years of experience in senior roles at MGM Resorts; SVP of Operations Max Tappeiner, whose 12 years with Mandarin Oriental included opening new hotels in New York and Las Vegas; VP of Food and Beverage Bart Mahoney who brings more than 25 years of experience with MGM Resorts and Wynn Resorts; SVP of Human Resources Michael Peltyn, whose time with MGM included overseeing 8,000 employees at CityCenter and employee leadership roles at Bellagio, Aria and Vdara; and Chief Information Officer Bill McArthur, a veteran in the IT field with both Las Vegas Sands and Scientific Games.
Once complete, Resorts World Las Vegas, being built on an 87-acre site at the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip, will comprise more than 3,400 hotel rooms across three hotel towers and a gaming floor covering 100,000 square feet. The Chinese-themed resort will also boast a 30,000-square foot lake surrounded by a Chinese garden.
