MGM Resorts Japan has announced it will be the official sponsor of the WBA World Middleweight Title Match between Ryota Murata and Robert Brant, which is due to be held in Osaka city’s Edion Arena Osaka on 12 July.

Murata lost in a decision to Brant in a title defence at Park Theater, Las Vegas last October, with his boxing now resting on redemption in this rematch. MGM Resorts also sponsored last October’s fight.

The rematch will see the MGM Resorts logo displayed on the ring and Murata’s clothing.

Jason Hyland, President of MGM Resorts Japan, said, “It is a great honor to be supporting this rematch in Osaka. Ryota Murata has worked tirelessly to overcome obstacles in his quest for the top. He is one of Japan’s leading athletes. We hope that you will all come out to support him in Osaka.”
