Suncity Group’s Vietnam integrated resort, Hoiana, is set to open the first of its facilities in September with the company confirming it is now adding the final touches to the IR’s 18-hole golf course.

Speaking with Inside Asian Gaming during the presentation of the final round of competition in the 2019 Miss Macau contest, sponsored by Suncity, at The Parisian Macao on Monday, Suncity Group Assistant Vice President of Marketing Communications James Wong revealed that Hoiana’s golf course is due to open in September with the rest of the property on track for a soft opening in December.

As part of joint marketing efforts for both Hoiana and Miss Macau, contestants will visit Hoiana’s golf course later this year as well as conducting other promotional activities in nearby Hoi An.

“Suncity Group has been working closely with the Macau government to develop diversified entertainment, or what we call integrated entertainment, and Miss Macau is a very iconic IP event of Macau,” Wong told IAG.

The participants will also receive intensive training sessions in make-up instruction, etiquette, personal image consultation, dress code, interpersonal communication, catwalk and performances all coached by experts in their fields.

Organizers have set an official voting system for citizens to vote for their favorite candidate. More information about the voting system is available on www.mpamacau.com.

Suncity Group holds a 34% stake in Hoiana, the joint venture project that also includes VinaCapital and VMS Investment Group. Suncity recently revealed that Hoiana, being built on 986 hectares, would open primarily as a VIP property due to limited hotel capacity, but would eventually become an “entertainment hub.”
