Galaxy Entertainment Group has become the latest of Macau’s concessionaires to offer a one-off Special Discretionary Payment to its staff.
In a Thursday announcement, Galaxy said it would pay the equivalent of one month’s base salary plus guaranteed tips, where applicable, to eligible team members at Senior Manager grade and below. The bonus is set to apply to 99% of the company’s non-management employees.
The one-off Special Discretionary Payment will be made payable on 30 August to eligible team members who joined Galaxy on or before 3 June 2019, with those who joined after 3 September 2018 to be paid on a pro-rata basis.
“Galaxy Entertainment Group has always considered its team members to be valuable assets, and encourages them to continue delivering Asian Heart services to enhance customers experience and striving alongside Entertainment Group to reach greater success in the years ahead,” the company said.
Galaxy’s bonus payment follows similar announcements over the past week from Wynn, SJM and Sands China.
