Frontier Capital Group’s (FCG) Hotel Stotsenberg is set to open its new casino, Fortunegate Clark Casino, this month.
The mass market-focused casino, located within the Clark Freeport Zone in the Philippines, will include 28 gaming tables, 134 slot machines and a money wheel as well as some VIP rooms, an entertainment space, a bar and other non-gaming facilities, Casino General Manager Eduardo Dacanay told local media.
The Australian-listed FCG first revealed its plans to resume casino operations at Hotel Stotsenberg in March after confirming it has the necessary funds to settle a Php225 million (US$4.4 million) PAGCOR escrow payment.
FCG completed a takeover of Hotel Stotsenberg in February 2016 for a cost of AU$26 million (US$18.1 million) but was forced to close casino operations on 5 February 2017 after the Philippines gaming regulator ordered the escrow payment.
