The festivities were kicked off with a traditional “Kagami-biraki” sake barrel ceremony using Yamagata’s finest sake, “Dewazakura”.
Caesars’ Senior Manager, Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility in Japan, Cole Garrett, was the host, himself a fluent Japanese speaker having previously studied in Hokkaido.
A number of Caesars executives attended to celebrate the era that will also herald in Japan’s first IRs, including Managing Director & Representative Officer, William Shen, and former Las Vegas Mayor Jan Jones Blackhurst.
Steven Tight, President of International Development of Caesars Entertainment, stated in an opening speech, “We have long been working hard to bring our capabilities to Japanese IR.

“With our century-long plan, we look forward to cooperating with Japan for the long-term.”
