MGM Resorts Japan is holding a participatory planning event titled “Thinking Together about Integrated Resorts (IR)” from 13 May to 31 May at the Grand Front Osaka, aimed at improving the public’s understanding of IRs.
MGM has formed an alliance with Orix with the goal of opening an IR at Yumeshima, Osaka. Grand Front Osaka itself is a multi-use facility at the center of Osaka city.
On the opening day, there will be a performance by the popular dance company Jabbawockeez, who regularly perform at MGM Grand in Las Vegas and Universal Studios Hollywood. MGM will also present a lottery offering Miyazaki Caviar 1983, a favorite of VIPs around the world.
The event will include seminars and townhall meetings providing an opportunity to discuss IRs with the residents of Osaka for the duration of the event. MGM is pulling out all the stops to achieve resident consensus for a “dream resort” including implementation of an experiential plan called “IR for you and everyone.”
