The new facilities that comprise NagaCorp’s upcoming Naga3 development in Phnom Penh will primarily comprise non-gaming attractions, the company has revealed.
Although NagaCorp has not yet released detailed information of the third phase of NagaWorld, having launched Naga2 in late 2017, Chairman Tim McNally told Inside Asian Gaming over the weekend that gaming would not be the primary focus once final Naga3 designs are complete.
“I can tell you that most of the new facilities will be focused on non-gaming entertainment,” he said in response to inquiries.
NagaCorp last week released its 2018 Annual Report in which it stated it was in the “advanced stages of planning for the development of Naga3.” The company added that additional capacity was necessary in order to ensure ongoing growth given the “success and fast ramp-up” of Naga2.
NagaWorld recently reported a 55% increase in gross gaming revenue in 2018 to US$1.4 billion and 53% growth in profit to US$390.6 million on the back of Naga2.
