Galaxy Macau is set to host the first art and cultural collaboration between Macau’s Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) and the Grimaldi Forum Monaco (GFM) via a new cultural exhibition detailing the life story of Grace Kelly.
Thanks to loans from the collections of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, the “Grace Kelly, from Hollywood to Monaco” exhibition will be on display from 15 May to 28 August 2019 in a specially created exhibition gallery located in the heart of Galaxy Macau.
The exhibition will include a special exhibit dedicated to the Grimaldi dynasty and artists’ tributes with their work inspired by Grace Kelly. For its part, the GFM also formalized a new step in its policy of roaming exhibitions abroad.
A cultural memorandum of understanding was jointly signed this week by Grimaldi Forum President Henri Fissore and CEO Sylvie Biancheri as well as GEG Vice Chairman Francis Lui and Non-Executive Director and Senior Advisor Michael Mecca. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Patrice Cellario, Government Counselor-Minister of the Interior; David Tomatis, Advisor at the Sovereign Prince’s Cabinet; and Emmanuel Van Peteghem, General Secretary of the Société des Bains de Mer, of which GEG has been a shareholder since July 2015.
“By putting this exhibition on display, GEG strengthens its ambition of making Macau a World Centre for Tourism and Leisure,” the company said
“Already a partner for the Grimaldi Forum’s Chinese exhibitions (2017’s ‘The Forbidden City in Monaco’ and ‘Princes and Princesses of Monaco’ in Beijing in 2018), it seals an even stronger link with the Principality and the Grimaldi Forum.”
