An influential overseas operator and Hokkaido integrated resort hopeful, Hard Rock International (CEO: Edward Tracy) and its Japanese arm, Hard Rock Japan (Chairman: Jim Allen), are actively participating in local events.
Sapporo Snow Festival is the biggest date on Hokkaido’s winter calendar and will now be entering its 70th event this year. The event is a celebration of everything snow and ice, featuring ice and snow sculptures of all sizes, traditional Hokkaido food and stage events at the Odori Park in Sapporo.
Hard Rock Japan has created a huge snow sculpture 15 m high and 22 m wide at the STV Square (Odori 4-chome) called “Hard Rock Family Concert: Miku Hatsune & Kasumi Toyama Live on Snow Stage.” It will be on display until 11th February.
Miku Hatsune is a virtual singer from Sapporo that has fans worldwide. Kasumi Toyama is a guitarist from the smartphone game “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!” and they will both perform on a stage designed specifically for the Snow Festival.
Projection mapping is used to project video onto the snow sculpture during the presentation period. Enjoy Miku Hatsune and the “Girls Band Party!” bright and colorful show as a new track “Night Highs” plays in the background.
