Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has announced that it will pay its staff a discretionary bonus equal to one month’s salary at the end of January.
The bonus, which Galaxy said is in recognition of team members’ “valuable efforts and contributions”, is eligible to all eligible employees at Senior Manager level and below and who joined the company before 1 January 2018. Those who joined between 2 January and 3 October 2018 will have their bonus calculated on a pro-rata basis according to their service days in the year.
Galaxy is the fourth of Macau’s six concessionaires to announce a discretionary bonus this month following recent announcements by Melco Resorts, MGM China and Wynn Macau.
In a statement, Galaxy said that although the city’s gaming revenue was slowing GEG achieved strong results in 2018.
“In spite of emerging market challenges, GEG expects to continue to scale new heights in the coming year along with its dedicated team members by delivering excellent services and products in line with its ‘Asian Heart’ philosophy, improving operational efficiencies and strengthening collaboration,” it said.
