Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has received the Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the 7th Cross-Strait-Four-Region Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award Ceremony in Hong Kong, the second time it has received the award.

The accolade was awarded by a jury of 11 experts from various professional backgrounds, after judging nominees from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau on their performance in the categories of Obligations Towards Shareholders, Commitment to Customers, Caring of Employees, Community and Society Relations, Environmental Protection and Leadership Ability.

The award program aims to deepen the global community’s understanding of Chinese enterprises while providing them with a platform to exchange insights into the implementation and promotion of corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Buddy Lam, Senior Vice President of Public Relations of GEG, said, “GEG feels an obligation to spread love to our various local communities and to unite all sectors to contribute to the betterment of society together. I would like to take this opportunity to thank every single team member for his or her contributions and support for all the community activities carried out by GEG, as well as to thank local community groups for their support.

“It’s an honor for GEG once again to be presented with this accolade. We will continue to organize a variety of events in line with our corporate social responsibility policy, for the benefit of our team members and local communities.

“I would also like to express my gratitude for this recognition of GEG’s endeavors and enduring contributions to charitable initiatives; volunteer work; responsible gaming promotion; talent nurturing; environmental protection; and support for small and medium-sized businesses and leisure, cultural and sport activities.”

GEG founded its volunteer team in 2011 with the goal of supporting underprivileged and vulnerable communities. Members of GEG’s volunteer team have worked with over 120 non-profit groups across China.
