Sands China Ltd has announced that it will pay a one-off special bonus equal to one month’s pay to all team members earning MOP$50,000 per month or less.
The move is the latest in a number of recent efforts to improve employee conditions, with Sands having already offered its staff a pay rise in January and upgrading its paternity and maternity leave policies.
The one-off bonus, announced on Wednesday, will apply to “99% of Sands China’s more than 28,000 team members” and will be paid out on 31 August 2018.
“Sands China has always viewed its team members as vital to the success of the business and continues to strive to provide them with a comprehensive and competitive benefits programme,” said Sands China President, Dr Wilfred Wong.
“After being the first to announce a salary increase and bonus in January – and following February’s addition of a five-day paternity leave policy and May’s increase in the maternity leave period to 70 days – the company is pleased to announce this one-off special appreciation bonus for eligible team members.
“We are very proud of our team members for their contributions and hard work and recognize their impact on helping ensure the company continues to go from strength to strength. It is with gratitude that we celebrate with them and acknowledge their contributions with this bonus.”
