Silver Heritage Group has lost another director with the company announcing that Richard Barker has resigned with immediate effect.
In a filing to the Australian Securities Exchange, the company said that Barker had resigned to focus on other business interests, with a previous resolution pertaining to his re-election at the upcoming annual general meeting to be withdrawn.
Barker’s departure comes just over a week after David Green stepped down from his role as Chairman. Silver Heritage said at the time that Green had tendered his resignation “for both personal reasons and also to enable him to focus upon other business interests.”
His role has been temporarily filled by Matthew Hunter, who joined the board as an independent director in December 2014.
The departure of both Green and Barker comes less than five months after the company launched casino operations at its US$52 million Tiger Palace Resort Bhairahawa in Nepal, located just eight kilometers from the Indian border.
Last month Silver Heritage announced losses of US$1.1 million for the first three months of 2018 but has also seen its Nepal revenues increasing, with record GGR of US$460,000 through the first 28 days of April compared with US$911,000 in January, February and March combined.
